I will be invisible as well as fitting right in with your friends and family, like we have known each other for years. I will direct your day without hesitation and give you 100% all day long. ~ STANDARD SESSION ~
My standard session rates are $150 for up to a 1 hour shoot (Up to 5 people, $25 for each additional person). We can do this at my home studio or at a location of your choice. We can do a session at your home or your favorite park, downtown or even Lake Michigan! (extra hourly rate for lakeshore locations) If you want to go on location and can’t think of a place for our shoot, let me know! I have tons of ideas. If you choose to do our session at my studio, weather pending, I like to shoot inside and out for a nice mix.

SCHEDULING AND POLICIES
I shoot Monday-Fridays. I do offer a very select number of Saturday mornings (when I do not have a wedding booked) with an additional fee of $25. When trying to decide on a date, I ask you to pick a week in the month you want to schedule and I can send my availability from there. I recommend booking a month out if possible, but otherwise I ask that you to schedule at least 2 weeks in advance. I will always do my best to accommodate you!
If you need to reschedule, please give 48 hours notice. If given less than 2 days notice (for any reason) there will be a $25 rescheduling fee.
*No call, no show. If you fail to show up for our scheduled session for any reason, you will have to pay for the session missed and your new session at the time you reschedule.
WHAT TO EXPECT
I like to keep my sessions very real and comfortable. No need to be nervous or tense!! I promise to make you, and or, your child look gorgeous! I like to talk to whoever is in front of my lens, have a fun casual conversation and get some very natural shots. Mom’s, I swear that I will get those smiles too!! Children feel it if you are stressed and they won’t be themselves, try to remain calm and let me do a lot of the talking and directing of your child. Let me know ahead of time if there is a certain shot you want to capture or an idea you may have. I want to hear it and make it happen! Kiddos will never act the way you want them to on session day! They may act up or seem shy, please don’t be embarrassed by their behavior, I have seen it all. I am usually able to draw them out of their shell within minutes!
I typically bring at least one chair or stool or prop to our session if on location. If you have seen something you fell in love with on my website or blog, please let me know that you would like for me to bring it and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
WHAT TO WEAR
I LOVE bright colors, patterned fabrics, textures, and layers! Don’t try to be too matchy matchy. Have fun with it! Bring hats, scarves, fun jewelry (even for the little girls!) boots, jackets, hair accessories etc. Try to think of the surrounding that we will be shooting in. If we are shooting in a park with a lot of green, don’t wear a green top. If we are shooting on a beautiful fall day, brown may not be the best color to wear. Basically you don’t want to blend in with your surroundings. Try to wear a color that will POP!

~ NEWBORN SESSION ~
My newborn session rate is $250. Because of the nature of a new baby, these sessions can take up to 3 hours due to feedings and changings. We can do this at my studio or at your home. If we schedule the session in your home I like to shoot in a very well lit room. I prefer to shoot in natural light, however, I will bring lighting in the case the need arises. I like to photograph the nursery and all the little details to make the shoot more personal! If you want a more stylized newborn session with all the great props, I recommend you come to my home studio. I have props galore and in the summer months, if mom and dad are willing, I like to take the baby outside for a few shots at the end. There is something really beautiful about a new life out in nature.

WHAT TO EXPECT
I like to keep clothing simple with newborns. Most of the time I would like the baby to be undressed focusing on his/her tiny features, wrinkled skin, hands and little toes. Please try to have the baby changed and fed prior to your session. If you know they will fall asleep after feeding, get them undressed (diaper on) before, and wrap them in a blanket. This way we won’t have to disturb their sleep by taking off their clothes. If we are shooting at your house, turning the heat up in the house/room will also help them from getting cold and unhappy. Of course these are only suggestions. If your baby has not eaten or is not sleepy, that’s ok too!! I am flexible and will work around them. Remaining calm will keep them relaxed. Don’t be surprised if you little one spits up or tinkles on my props, this is very common and I am prepared for it.

Babies change so quickly and in this first week or two they are also sleeping a lot and it is very easy to get them into position to photograph them. Please contact me prior to your baby arriving. It’s never too early to schedule! This way I know your due date and I will be expecting to hear from you within that time frame. I am very flexible with scheduling newborn sessions since they arrive when THEY are ready! Contact me as soon as you are home from the hospital and we can pick a day within the next week or so. ~ BABY'S FIRST YEAR PACKAGE ~
I also offer a first year package to capture ALL of those memorable moments! This package includes a 1 hour session at 3, 6, 9, month and 1 year. This package is $600 (a $100 discount!)

2-3 weeks after our session I will email you a password protected online proofing gallery for you to pick out your 5 images. At the end of the year you will also get an awesome 6x8 flush mount board book with your 20 favorite images from our year together!! I love ending with a fabulous cake smash at their last session. This if fun for all and yields unforgettable images.

MATERNITY $150
I recommend doing this session either your 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. Planning ahead is great. It’s never too soon to book your session. The months approaching your session date will give us time to pick the location (depending on the season) and what clothing will work best. Your spouse or other children are more than welcome to join the session. They are definitely an important part of this shoot as well.
I recommend wearing fitted outfits that show off your curves whether you’re sitting or standing. Two outfits are usually recommended. A dress or long skirt looks nice, and something comfortable that you wear every day. Don’t be afraid of color! If you plan on showing off your belly, bring along a button down top or even a scarf that can be wrapped. Most importantly, pick clothing that is comfortable and you feel good in! If you plan on exposing your belly for some photos, I recommend that you try to keep elastic waistbands off your stomach prior to the session. This will eliminate any marks on your belly.
Being pregnant is a very special time in your life. Whether this is your first pregnancy, last pregnancy or your only pregnancy, this is a great opportunity to capture how you looked and felt on your way to becoming a mother!!

~ SENIORS SESSIONS ~
Senior sessions start at $150 for a 1 hour session. ($100 for each additional hour) Senior sessions take place at the location of your choice (within Grand Rapids) and include unlimited outfit changes as time allows. I recommend that you choose locations where you will feel comfortable, that have a view that you love or that have special meaning for you. Suggestions include your home, a local park, an urban scene downtown, a rural scene, your school, or somewhere you are involved in an activity (e.g. football field, hockey rink, dance studio, local lake, etc.) Choose a location that is special to you and where you can relax and be yourself (extra rate for lakeshore locations). I also have a long list of recommendations great for senior sessions if you get stuck!

My boudoir session rates are $150 for up to a 1 hour shoot. These are done in my home studio or at a location of your choice (within the Grand Rapids area). Your home, a hotel, even outside if you dare! Please contact me to view a private password protected Boudoir gallery to see my work.

Along with your session fees, you get to pick out 5 complimentary digital images ON ME! Also for every $75 you order in prints I give you 5 extra digital images on cd as a thank you! The pictures you choose are high resolutions digital images that will be put on CD and mailed to you with a shared print release. 2-3 weeks after our session I will email you a password protected online proofing gallery for you to pick your 5 images. I offer these beautiful discrete little black books for $135. They are 20 page 8x6 flush mount board books and are AWESOME! WHAT TO EXPECT
I like to keep my sessions very real and comfortable. No need to be nervous or tense!! I promise to make you look GORGEOUS!! Most gals arrive very nervous but quickly come out of their shell and genuinely enjoy themselves. It is very important for me to make people feel good about themselves, this has been a part of me before I even became a photographer. I promise that after 10 mins you won't realize you are half naked:) Most sessions are typically done at my home studio. I have 3 different areas I like to use when doing these special sessions. I have a spare room we use as our "boudoir" another rooms with amazing natural light that I typically do some corner work in with long curtains, and then of course the studio for the white back drop.
WHAT TO WEAR
I recommend you bring 2-4 "outfits". Some gals like to go topless for a few too. Heels, jewelry, props that may mean something to your significant other etc are encouraged. I love big hair and heavy make up. Especially around the eyes! Just make sure you arrive feeling your most beautiful and looking super sexy. I do have hair and make up gals that can come do you up! If you are interested, let me know and I will get you their contact info.
